The Comparative Genomics Lab participates in the following UoC postgraduate programs:
- MSc program in Bioinformatics: The program leads to the award of a Master’s of Science degree (M.Sc.) in “Bioinformatics” after the successful completion of four (4) academic semesters. The MSc in Bioinformatics aims at a highly competitive, interdisciplinary and international audience. Lectures and practical classes will be taught in English by professors of the University of Crete Faculties of Medicine, Biology, Computer Science and Mathematics as well as by experienced researchers from FORTH (Crete) and HCMR Research Centers.
- MSc program in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine: The Graduate Programme in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine (MBB) has been established and runs jointly by the Departments of Biology and Medicine, University of Crete and The Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB) of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH). The collaborating partners have international reputation in cutting edge research in molecular biology and biomedicine and participate actively in educational training and research activities of the Programme.

We set our postdoctoral / predoctoral fellow compensation to levels adjusted in accordance with the provisions of the Greek legislation and IMBB-FORTH (with some exceptions) and encourage candidates to explore applying for extramural fellowships to support their research.
Other Visitors
Our lab enjoys having exchange students, interns, sabbatical visitors from academia and industry, and research specialists in the lab. We are open to other arrangements as well.
